David has 30+ years of experience within the world of pre-owned printing machinery and is recognised throughout the industry worldwide as a leading authority. He manages Pinheiros’ key accounts, primarily in the Far East, which involves extensive travel as well as working closely with the purchasing team, in the identification of future sales requirements.
Before joining Pinheiros in 2000, David worked as sales director at Wayne Graham Machinery, where he developed a highly respected commercial knowledge of re-sale values of printing machinery, which sees him valuing presses for agents of many of the major manufacturers throughout Europe including Heidelberg, Komori, Man Roland, Mitsubishi and KBA.
When not on a plane for work, David can be found out on his bike, on the tracks and roads around Yorkshire or watching sport.
Julian joined Pinheiros in 1999 with the brief of developing new markets both in sourcing and sales and has been particularly key in the company’s growing involvement in India, South America and Eastern Europe. He manages a team of multi-lingual purchasing executives, all tasked with sourcing machinery within their European territories.
Julian has also developed an unrivalled expertise in the highly important area of export and import logistics, working with a base of key suppliers to ensure that the high value machinery bought and sold arrives safely and on time at its destination.
A keen runner and swimmer, Julian is often competing in open water swims or local half marathons if he’s not being the taxi service for his two daughters.
Martin joined Pinheiros in 2009 to head up a new joint venture, Pinheiros Post Press, a company specialising in the purchase and sale of used post press machinery as well as heading up the marketing function of the Pinheiros companies.
In the late 1990’s Martin worked with fellow Pinheiros director David Pickup at Wayne Graham Machinery for five years before moving into the world of advertising and PR, becoming managing director of one of the UK’s leading marketing services agencies.
The Post Press division of Pinheiros has enjoyed continued growth, selling 80+ machines per year to numerous countries, across the World. In 2020, the company expanded further into packaging and in 2022 was appointed as a European agent for MK Masterwork, selling its range of packaging and printing machinery.
Outside of Pinheiros, Martin loves performing on stage with his band and writing music.
After spending two years working with the Pinheiros team in The UK, Monika moved back to Poland in 2011 and opened the company’s Poland-based office, in a strategic move which has enabled her to spend more focused time with her growing customer base.
Monika is principally responsible for purchasing and sales of machinery from Poland, Slovakia, and Czech Republic but covers all areas of Eastern Europe, where she continues to develop her knowledge and contacts.
Monika is a trained actor and performer and along with her husband plays in a successful Polish pop group.
Mario Nigro – Purchasing & Sales Manager – Western Europe
Mario began life in the used machinery industry back in 2005, after having worked in advertising and print for three years. He worked for Alcon (formerly Congraf) for more than 15 years selling initially to printers in Italy, before wider developing his customer base to handle the company’s export customers.
He joined Pinheiros in 2022 bringing with him a wealth of experience in buying and selling post press, offset and pre-press machinery.
Mario enjoys time with his family, running and watching Formula 1 – in addition to printing machines, fast cars are his passion!
Michael Webb – Purchasing & Sales Manager – Asia Pacific
Michael Joined Pinheiros in 2021 with 40+ years’ experience in the printing industry working for industry leader, Heidelberg, working upto regional director level.
Initially based for 19 years in the UK, working in a mechanical / technical role, he then moved to Vienna in Austria where he worked in service management and aftersales for 13 years, before finishing with a move to Indonesia for 10 years, based in Jakarta, where he was responsible for aftersales and remarketed equipment in the Asia Pacific territory.
From Brighton, Mike follows in a proud family tradition of being a Brighton & Hove Albion supporter and season ticket holder. A keen sportsman, Mike has a strong competitive streak with a love for golf as well as motorsport – where he participated at national level in karting.
Laura Sanderson – Logistics & Office Manager
Laura joined Pinheiros in 2015, to develop and streamline the administrative and sales procedures of the growing companies. In her time, she has developed a strong understanding of the ever-changing world of export / import and its associated requirements. Her role sees her working closely with the sales team in ensuring that machines, parts, engineers and shipping containers all arrive safely in the right location at the right time – the all-important logistics behind any sale or purchase.
